North Seattle Handyman started in 2017 and has grown it into a well respected and busy small business with a 5 star rating on Yelp for work in the North Seattle and Snohomish county area. We are growing the business to be able to help more of our community and are looking to bring on excited and skilled team members as the business continues to grow.

Our company values are to focus on the customer experience as well as delivering a beautiful final product. We take as much pride in the work as the customer does in their finished space. We are looking to bring on employees who can share in these values too.

Skilled Tradesman

We are looking for a remodel/finish carpenter for our skilled tradesman position. Our company does small to medium residential remodels and handyman work from North Seattle through Snohomish county. We are looking for someone with a great work ethic, solid communication skills, an eye for detail, creative problem solving, and someone who can work just as effectively on a solo job as they can when on a team.

This position will have the opportunity to grow as the company grows and we are looking forward to hiring someone who is interested in long-term employment.

This is a full-time position with regular hours M-F and occasional overtime depending on the job.

Pay:

  • $30-40 an hour depending on experience

  • OT is paid time and a half.

  • 1 week of vacation included after one year of employment

Responsibilities Include

  1. Perform a large range of handyman or remodeling tasks without supervision while maintaining NSHM guidelines and customer service standards.

  2. Capable and willing to run multiple jobs at one time

  3. Is solution-oriented when confronted with new and unexpected situations

Required Experience

10+ years in a skilled trade position

Qualifications

  1. A  thorough understanding of the construction industry building process.

  2. MUST have 10+ years of experience in a skilled trade position.

  3. An ability to work independently and make decisions.

  4. Ability to instruct others within a job space.

  5. A valid license and a clean driving record.

  6. Must have the necessary power and hand tools to perform basic home maintenance.

  7. Basic administrative, computer, and math skills to make notes, use our client management system, accurately prepare invoices, and track paperwork.

  8. Strength, balance, and physical ability to work at roof height as well as accomplishing tasks from demo to finish work in large and confined spaces.

  9. Must live within 30 miles of North Seattle

  10. A dynamic approachable personality and interpersonal skills for working with teammates and talking with clients.

  11. Is prompt and professional
